Did any of the local lakes hold their ice??? I was on Hamlin Sunday and the winds was doing some crazy stuff to the ice blowing that water around, fish seemed pretty negative too....I wont be able to check for myself until saturday so I am curious whether there is any hope of sitting on an ice cube this weekend!

Stony, Silver, Pentwater all open water with skim ice barely starting to form on a couple small, southshore areas.
Saw some hardy souls trolling Silver Lake yesterday in a Lund with planner boards.
I was wade-fishing the channels. You could fish the open water from the swimming dock at Stony Lk.
BUT - here comes some cold air this weekend!!!!!!!!!!!
I like the Miller Banners that are hanging outside of the local beer, bait & gas stores like Silver Point & the Stony Lake store that state, "Welcome Icefishermen!!!" This weather has to really put the hurt on little stores like these.

Any up dated reports from Silver lake yet.
Just wondering who/where you call for reports up there. Is there a new bait shop up there . That would be awesome if there was.

Is the shore ice good enough to get a quad out on it? Not today but after another day or two of ice making.....what about snow????

A few inches on most with some clear spots, i don't think you would have any problem gettin a quad on

Checked a FEW lakes over the weekend...most had 6" but did run into some 1" ice which was quite suprising!

Didnt even check it out.
I was just messing with you guys.
Definitely must have been ok because there was a pretty good horde of people out on Saturday many less on Sunday and zero today so fishing must have been really good. :D
Its a mess right now though.
