I thought I'd try to get out once more before the ice is unsafe. I headed out to little whitefish and it was great. Got onto the fish right away and caught my limit in a couple hours. Lots of small fish but some nice ones if you sorted a little. The ice was ok 4-5", but it was melting fast. I wouldnn't expect it it be fishable by morning. I'm headed back to school this weekend and this is probally my last LP ice trip of the year. I know theres safe ice in da UP so I'll be tearing into some walleye next week. I hope cold weather and safe ice returns quickly for everyone fishing around GR.

Nice fish!! I fished all weekend in the lower western areas...did decent, but the ice was going fast!:sad: FOGGY as heck and late season duck hunters were scaring the @#%$ out of us.I reaaly don't know how they could see!?!?!?
