So I'm heading up to Hess for the weekend just wondering if i should take the ice gear or river gear or the boat:dizzy:. Any ice left? I never saw any reports of how thick the ice was so I dont know what to think... I will also be needing an update on thursday or friday before I go just in case something changes. Thanks for the report

I fished near there Sunday the ice was ok but getting sloppy.temps warmed up last night and today with the wind and rain you would be better served bringing your steelhead gear and hitting the muskegon river, the ice is now junk,,stay off the ice would be my suggestion.Better safe to fish another day,,,you might also want to try another lake when everything freezes back up,,,I think Hess lake is junk
