Drummond Island

Was thinking of making a trip up there in the next few weeks for some perch fishing and need some help on places to try like Maxton Bay,etc. Also is there any bait shop to call to get ice conditions, fishing report, or place to stay. I have never been on the island and think it would be a fun trip. Thanks C. D.

Birch Tree Resort. Ask for Donna. 906 493 5355. Great cabins, clean and has bait right at the resort. She's right in Potagassing Bay (sp), which is right out of maxton. Make sure you have a quad though, because lots of the good perch fishing can be a hike. Let me know how you do.
