I noticed that the Air Bags are still safely stuffed inside the steering wheel! I hit one going 55 and it never went off either.

In this case the air bags didnt go off because i believe the sensors are in the bumper if i remember correctly....But i might be wrong...

That is true. It is an inertia-type switch. It doesn't activate from impact, but the "sudden Stop".

head went thru the front windshield, cutting the head (plus some) off, and landed in Jill's lap. The body of the deer flipped up, smashed in the top of the truck, and landed in the bed. Clayton couldn't see Jill from his side, because the top of the truck was smashed in so horribly.

He got out of the truck, went around, and opened the door on her side...only to start flipping out, because she was literally drenched in blood. However, neither one of them was hurt. Her parents were following in a separate vehicle and didn't see it happen...but drove up on it right afterward. I can't imagine what they were thinking!

What are you talking about??? I know the dates going well once blood, innards and feces makes it's debut!!! The upside is, if everything works out for those two, they'll have one heck of a story to tell to the grandkids!!!

Those sensors are on the frame. I find it hard to believe the deer even hit the front of the vehicle. Perhaps the deer was hit by another vehicle and was launched into the air ended up directly impacting the windshield. I own the identical truck but in the EXT Cab version. The roof sheet metal is not supported well which explains the peel back. Those people are lucky to be alive.

Somebody was looking down upon them. The truck can always be replaced, the folks inside........I would be thanking my maker.
