Don't know how many years it's been,the last 2 for sure, that the bait shops are taking a major hit because of this lousy winter weather we have been having. The business is tough enough as it is, no wonder the Bridge had to shut down. Feel for those guys. (well, maybe not all of them). Come on cold, cold weather, were running out of time.

same weather we had last year, there is still plenty of time. if you want to fish there are plenty of small lakes that have 8"+ of ice that we have been fishing on since dec. 6

From where I live the small lakes are far and few. Living in Lexington does not put me close to many safe ice areas. Lake St. Claire still has open water as of Jan.6. The harbor is fishable at Lexington, but the fish are almost none existent . I would like to fish 3-4 times a week, but the gas prices won't allow that many trips. So you can see I am getting a little antsy. Don't know where you are located, but feel fortunate taht you have that much ice for such a long period of time, I envy you. Good luck and good fishing.
