Looking for comments on cabela's outfitter fleece camp collection clothes. Is it thick and bulky? Does everything in the woods stick to it? Please any comments good or bad and thanks guys for helping out.;)

I've had the outfitter fleece for 3 years now (pant's, pullover and vest). I don't find it bulky, it's rather comfortable & warm. Burrs and thorns stick to it pretty good & you'll be spending time pulling them out, so just watch what you're walking in.

I do not know if mine is "camp collection" but I have their fleece parka and bibs. Both are very warm, comfortable and have lots of pockets. I have used this setup the past two guns seasons in Crawford County and have not had any trouble with burrs, but I don't think there are a lot of burrs up there. It may be a little bulky for a bow hunt but is very good for a gun sit.

under armour, fleece than a waterproof/breathable shell.

I have found the under armor to be great if I am moving, but if i sit in the stand after a long walk I get pretty cold from it. I now like to wear fleece as my first layer. Then a wind blocker on top of that.

I have both cabelas fleece and gander mountain's guide series fleece and I have had very good luck with them. I just wear a cotton t shirt, maybe a sweatshirt and a fleece jacket then whatever camo I need. obviously the camo is not insulated and usually is a soft fleece type material.
Windproof fleece is geat stuff. Maybe try picking up a couple of less expensive fleece jackets or pants and try them out. Lots of sales right now. I just got a cabelas catalog recently, mid winter sale, some pretty good prices on some nice fleece gear. I dont worry to much about having camo fleece but it would be nice. I have only found one fleece jacket in wetlands camo in my size and the sleeves were way to short but I have made it work.
recently I hunted in 8 degree weather from 6:30 am till noon. I wore a pair of gander mountains guide series fleece long underwear, a pair of cabelas fleece lined pants and camo outer pants. On top I had on a t shirt, a sweat shirt, the wind proof guide series jacket and a heavy fleece jacket over that. then a camo shirt to finish my camo. I stayed nice and warm and had pretty good freedom of movement.
There is some fleece that looks like it wont be so grabby to thorns and pickers etc. very tightly woven. also ther eis a company that builds it to your specs. beyondfleece.com A little pricey but it is supposed to be the best you can buy.

i bought the outfitter guide bibs and parka this year. (brown lining) and its very warm. as far as layering, jeans and a T are enough! and yes it does soak the burrs up.
