and not much new to report... i just did the long way home from work, checked from the spillway to brandonburg... here goes... didnt talk to any one, didnt get out of the truck... so its gunna be basic.

spillway - not much to report, the river has skim ice... no one on it. a few guys just off the ramp, and by the marina, maybe 6 to8 guys total. not much safe looking ice past 100 ards from the launch.

ginos - two trucks at ginos, but couldnt see any one on the ice. shanty trails out onto it though. one guy south of genos about 2 to 300 yards. again not much safe ice past 1 to 200 yards out... but new ice regaurdless, is forming.

metro - alot of guys in the back basin, couple fish on the ice... couldnt tell what, no bino's. off the day sail were about a dozen guys as well. not too far out... 1 - 200yards again.

south river road - no safe ice... it has ice, but it sure isnt safe to walk on.

venetian canal - plenty of guys out there, couldnt tell much due to the guy behind me honkin at me to keep driving:rolleyes::dizzy::lol: ice looked decent.

Sang launch - guys a bit farther out, even down south near the base hospital... ice didnt look too bad.

sang bait shop canal - no one out there, one guy at the mouth... ice looked fine.

salt river - handfull of guys on the canals that jet off near the mouth of the river. one brave soul near a wet spot of ice under the brige of jefferson. had a few fish on the ice... and something big like a pike or something?

cotton - plenty of guys fishing, and heading out/in... guess its safe... couldnt see much. guy said 4inchs in most places.

brandonburg - not safe! ice only goes out about 50 yards at best and then its open. no one fishing, but alot of guys scouting for duck this weekend there...:dizzy::help:

hope this helps some of u. im sorry i have no info on the fishing, just ice and if there is any and if people ar eout there. i think that the ice will be fine in most of the spots through next weeks warm up... brandonburg, SRR, the spill way and possibly sang will lose alot of ice from it... the others, i dont think we need to worry.
