;) Hit Lake Simcoe for perch yesterday. Slow pick but we caught over 200. Only kept about 70 for eating. 6" to 10" of ice depending on where you were in the Virgina Beach area.

Did you guys park? We;ve been there quite a few times and always went with a hut operator mostly near Virginia Beach but we have all the equipment to go on our own this time and was wondering where you parked at?We don't have a 4 wheeler so we will be pulling everything in our shanty so want a close place to park to fish even if its a mile or so is fine. Thanks Steve

We parked on a side road just up from where everyone is going on the ice. Its about 2 mins from where the ferry crosses to Georgina Island. Ice was thick enough that operator took us out in a pick up truck. Ice road to island is in place as well marked by trees. You can walk out..it would be a mile or less to where everyone is fishing. Lots of people on foot and quads the other day.
