I'm going to be buying an okuma sheffield here pretty soon and i need a a good economical rod to match it. Is the okuma aventa for $100 a good rod? I've a heard it's a little wimpy, i haven't actually felt one. What about the okuma sheffield rod for a little more? Or some other good options?

If you like a wet noodle the Okuma is your rod. I have never fished one but have seen them snap.

You'd be better buying a new 12'6" Shimano Convergence for $60 than the Okuma Aventa rod. Raven Matrix for $110 is the best new rod around for the money.

I have a NEW 12'6" Convergance that I'd let go for $55. I bought it as part of a combo and don't really need two of them.
