Hello fellow Hunters!

Just a quick post to inform all of you Red Oakers that by all accounts so far the upcoming Bear Season looks to be a GREAT one! We here, are looking forward to another 100% year! We have had good rain across most of the Red Oak area and the natural Bear feed seems to be taking off quite well. This is important this year especially, since our season dates have been pushed back. The natural feed has alot to do with how early or late 'Ole blackie finds his den. On years with plentiful natural feed, Bears tend to stay above ground and remain active a fair amount later.

I would like to also extend an open invitation to my Bear hunting Brethren. If I can be of help to you in finding a Guide in your chosen unit, or general Bear hunting information, Please feel free to visit our website at www.houndmangsk.com (http://www.houndmangsk.com) or drop me an email a Houndman@houndmangsk.com. I Guide first and foremost in the Red Oak BMU, but also take Day bookings for the Upper after the close of our kill season. I know many of the Bear guides in this state and would be happy to help find one who will treat you fairly. I will attempt to answer all emails in as timely of a fashion as possible.

Remember folks TAKE A YOUNG HUNTER ALONG even if it is only for the scouting and such. THEY are our hunting Future!

Thanks and Good Hunting,
Houndman

I have not heard about a Bear attacking anyone, but would love to hear from anyone who has some details. When? Where? etc. -Houndman Originally posted by jackpine:
