Here are some pictures from my latest batch. It is a light ale/weis flavored with dried sweet orange and crushed coriander seeds. Pure Michigan Honey and Molasses were used to get the sugar content up. 3-4.5 BTU hops were used. A belgin weis yeast was used for starting fermentation. The Starting Gravity read 1.062 witch means the potential alcohol content is 10%..........Not bad for a light Ale/Weis. I'll keep you posted on the sweet nectary results. Happy New Year!

Looks awesome! I like the ingredients, would you be interested in sharing the recipe?

I notice you have the fermenter sitting by a heat register, that’s a great idea especially with Belgian yeast.

Looks great! The coriander seeds sound interesting. Who says us Bronco's didn't learn anything in KZoo, lol!;)

Northbound, congrats! I was hoping someone would notice the little helper in the background! Yesterday I moved this batch over to secondary fermentation. I took a SP gravity reading and it showed she was currently at 1.021. I think that may be just a bit high as I took the sample towards the bottom of the primary batch. I will probably bottle this within a week or so,

Tangleknot, you know how we Bronco's do it :-) To top off the batch, I will be putting one coriander seed into each bottle when bottling. I have been taking photos and plan to get them up here soon. I will also get the recipe that I used posted at that time.

Hi fellow Bronco! I spent a year thinking about it. Then, I bought the equipment off of Ebay. Spent another year thinking about wine/beer/how to....etc. Decided that beer was the best route for me and then made my first batch. I have been going ever since (2 yrs. now) I wish that I would have started sooner, but taking a year to learn the in/outs of beer making also saved me some costly and failed experiments. The first thing I learned about brewing was that the first three rules are 1. sanitize 2. sanitize 3. sanitize and finally 4. relax and have a home brew! :p

That looks like a good "Meet-N-Greet" Brew. :corkysm55
