Took my youngest sister out with me last weekend and jumped 3. Sometimes taking an up and coming hunter means that you don't actually get to devote your complete attention to actually hunting though - I only managed 1. However, the smile in the picture afterwards is worth it. :D

Then a good friend and I went out yesterday and turned up the heat! Previously we've gone 3-4 times hunting and I'd previously we only managed 3 rabbits. Took half of the day yesterday and jumped 10. We left a few for next time, but most of them we took home with us.
Before anyone pipes up about there not being any orange in that picture, you can rest assured that we had on orange field vests in order to carry our load in the first place. They are just off to the side of the picture. ;)

It really is too bad that past threads have forced us to make excuses for the way we're dressed in our pictures.

7 rabbits in an outing is a great haul, in my book!

Haven't had any rabbit stew in years, but boy does them babies look good. Nice work, you earned them. Anyone hunting without dogs works hard for their rabbits.

Great day for no dogs. We hunt with dogs and would consider it good day too.

I had the fortune of taking out my young brother-in-law and my son yesterday, along with my father-in-law and another brother-in-law on a rabbit hunt. My son got some shooting in and the youngest brother-in-law got his first rabbit ever. All in all we took home 5 rabbits. What a blast, I haven't hunted like that since I was a kid myself. I had so much fun, that we are going back out tomorrow morning!!

Thanks for the compliments. :)

F&F - sounds like you had a great hunt! Hopefully the second time out was as much fun as the first.

For New Years I went over to my folks for dinner and someone wanted to go hunting again. She jumped 1 from a brush pile and we went 1 for 1 on rabbits.

There's no doubt about that. We've got a little over 2 years to go, but someone's been asking about taking Hunter's Safety for a couple of years now and just started asking yesterday about how much she needs to save up so she can purchase her own gun. :D
