Everytime I check out your reports I turn green with envy. I have been chomping at the bit for a month now, and still have not been able to get out. I may have to punch a hole in my pond and catch some of the shiners I dumped in there:dizzy:. It has been months since I caught a fish, and it's killing me:gaga:. Carry on.... my cry is over:lol:.

Matt, paybacks are a bitch! You and Scott were toasting our walnuts every time you posted about limit catches of walleyes.

Don't feel bad though. The big ones haven't shown up in the canals yet. Maybe one or two but mostly dinks.

Maybe Mushy will be up for a trip to Little Bay de Noc.

Ice is good. Fishing's good. Life is good!:D

Almost a foot of ice north of Gladstone. Lot of guys taking trucks out there now. Walleye bite was pretty good over the weekend for a lot of people.

With the Exchange so poor, Going to Simcoe is ALMOST out of the question.....But we will have to see, after this weekend warm spell. U.P. and Simcoe might have the only ice to fish....

Lake Margarethe was a bust......Only caught a few Dink Perch, and NO walleye. Stocking up there is a thing of the past, without that, the lake is depleated of all the nice fish......But it sure was nice being on the ice again, and riding out to your spot, without dragging everything by Foot. I wish Mitchells would freeze......

Good call Mike..... I forgot about the glory days of pullin' harnesses pretty fast! I think my crew is still looking forward to a Simcoe trip in Feb. sometime, and I know Scott wanted to try the Sagnasty for some eye's as well. With business being as busy as it's been, I will be hard pressed to put together a long weekend..... good problem to have in Michigan at this time I know. Chris, when do you think Mitchells bay will be safe? Has anyone ever taken a plane up to Simcoe? I will probably have to do that If I do go this year.

Looking into my Crystal Ball, I would say the Third week in Jan. Mitchells should be locked up.....Hopefully.....Matt, what did you get for Christmas, a PLANE..... Never traveled by plane up there, but im sure its do-able.....

Lease!!!! But im thinking about buying it, after the lease is up. The Rezidual is very low on the buy out, so it all depends on how it runs through my 27,000 mile lease period. With the Life-time Powertrain warrenty, it might be a truck i can have for 10-15 years......

Planning to head up in Feb. We have a bud who lives up there now and has been hitting the eyzs. Sure would be great to get a whole group to head up for the first annual "MS LBDN" spuds and suds outing. We will probably fish out of the Escanaba area. Heck I even bought a new shanty as it seems to be a go........so you can blame me for the less than stellar ice around here thus far.....

Maybe we'll have to try to arrange a Outing?? If fishing off the Escanaba area you always have to be careful!! We fished off of portage point with Chief Pampino....and we had to cross many pressure cracks to get out to the (wall). It is a steep drop off down to like 50-60 ft about 3-miles out .....but thats where the Hogs are!!;)
