Fishin wit Jinxie

Dragged my buddy Shane(fasteight) out this morning for his first ice trip in 2 years(it's a werk thing). Ice was in better shape than I expected(4+"), they couldn't have gotten the rain we did!

Took a while to get on them and the action was never fast, but we both managed to get quite a few decent sunnies and gills. I even picked up a bonus black and a white crappie.

The fish started the day high, and ended belly in the mud. Waxies and glow green did the trick(again). Minnows were a waste of time for us. Quads were running around in front of the Raft most of the day. Open water at the mouth of the first canal, so keep an eye out for it. Not sure how they did on the bay, stayed in the canals.

Count your fingers when yer done cleaning them:lol:

I was at Metro Harry. Nothing but dinks out from the Daysail.

Went to Venetian and took a walk up and down the canal. Not many keepers caught by anyone that I could tell.

I heard that someone went through at Venetian. I think I'll wait a week or two! I saw a lot of open holes (natural not auger) during my walk up and down the canal. I won't be going back there anytime soon. We definitely need some sustained cold weather.

If you don't mind gills and sunnies the ice is fine around the Raft, ATVs running around on the bay. Someone said they hit the perch yesterday or something like that. We saw some caught, even a few nice ones. If ya need the particulars, shoot me a PM.
