By morning it should just be another layer of ice. Or so I hope.... Duck-Hunter and I will probably go somewhere tomorrow just not sure where yet.

We didn't get rain out this way, just sleet/snow/freezing rain. The ice should be fine. Good luck, be safe!

I plan on trying to get out tomorrow around the Milford/White Lake area. I am working a 24 hr overtime shift now, so I hope this rain doesn't freeze or we will be up all night on downed wires...

We got some rain here today(brighton). The lakes werent lookin to sweet today. Its 33-34 degrees right now. its wont be freezing temps until 4am(a little windy also) but it is suppose to be 30 all day until like 4pm then drop into the high 20's. I have to help someone in the morning and have a pheasant hunt around 1. If I wasnt busy I was going to fish woodland. I will be out there later in the day(around 4).

We have good ice on my pond out back. I know that that is not scientific for the rest of the region, but I plan to get the girls out Sunday or Monday somewhere in the 48442 area.

It really shouldnt have beat up the ice that bad. I was told woodland had 5-6" the other day. When we got that rain last week I fished in the 40+ degree temps with slop on 4" of ice with my shanty. We also fished the morning after the rain (it got cold quick that night). Im not a little guy(240) and neither is my shanty(Voyager). I only fished in 19' that day.

zx10r2004's- Hope your still out there when I get out there. cant wait to scramble that Vex(s)! :D :coolgleam

I am fishing in the Holly area as well today....little ponds are always nice...You ever fish out at 7 lakes? I hear both good and bad stories....PM me and my and my buddy can meet up with you one weekend and hit some small private lakes in the area.

RyGuy and I fished Independence yesterday. Ice was good all the way out to 22 FOW. At least 4 solid inches out deep and 6 in closer. Drilled over 30 holes, and only picked up 3 dink perch and a handfull of baby bass. 2 other groups out there were jumping around alot, too.
