Doe's anybody know if they still rent shantys on Higgin's Lake out of that bait shop up there?

Ralph good one.But They did rent shantys up there about 7 years ago for $45.00 a day that were heated and they drove you out to the shanty and checked on you every 2-3 hours see if you needed any thing it was nice.

Sounds like it would be good deal, they probobly know where the fish frequent, would be benificial for their business. Let me know if you find out, might be interested in a trip up there. If you figure cost for truck/machine/heater-gas to get there versus small car with rods and bait, probobly same price or less depending how far away you live. Wouldn't be a bad business to open in winter with these hight gas prices.

Enigma if I were you I would count on losing the deposit you put down if you rent one, once the cleaning guy sees the surprise you left him. Or maybe not, just take your bandoleer and use the next shanty over from you and that way the one your fishing will be as fresh as a daisy.
