I've read some articles in estimaing the size of a bear according to it's tracks. There was a really good article in a bowhunting magazine but darned if I can find it now. The article as I recall hard some formula where you measure the track and use a sum that you multiple by that measurement. I always wanted to try it to see if some of the bear taken were close to what that estimate said. If nothing else it would add some varity to baiting.
I also wanted to know if anyone had some good suggestions on replicating tracks. I know plaster of paris has been used. I thought that would be a kool science project for me little guys.
