Steve, I walked off the ice with your brother.

I went home with ten gills and crappies. Three of which were a donation from a guy I was talking to. I must have caught 40 fish but there was no size to them.
Two guys were sitting out in the open, away from the docks and they caught a lot of perch, but they were keeping almost everything they caught. They had a couple of nice ones. Not even close to being Jumbo's but big for what everyone else was catching today.
The ice is slowly disappearing. It's already all busted up near the road so you have to walk through mud and water to get on or off. I may wear some knee-high boots tomorrow if I go there. I wouldn't be surprised if I don't find any ice to walk on anywhere tomorrow.

Them morons that use power augers for less than 10 in of ice are a bunch of wimps they would be better off with a 75 dollar hand auger. I have had a 7 inch strikemaster lazer sharpend auger, goes through ice like butter even after 6 years. Drilled a couple of hundred holes and still cutting like new. By the time someone gets the power auger running and warmed up I already could have 4 holes drilled and lines in the water. Plus about 30 lbs lighter eqiupment to drag out.

Nobody's been by the ramp lately? Usually when I'm there a million people drive through that lot.

My buddy was there this afternoon and called me to say that the ramp is frozen in. Hope this helps you.
