I went out to Stoney Creek today for a few hours ice was a very solid 5.5"to 6". Only had one tiny blue gill on the ice but spent most of my time drilling holes since i'm not very familiar with the lake...Well I wasn't . Be safe all!!

Yeah I was surprised too I had tape measure with me though. Clear solid ice. Hopefully weather coming doesn't screw it up to much

Went out on Sunday, there was 6 inches of ice everywhere we drilled, caught 5 largemouth and a crappie that was just over 14 inches, not a great day but felt great to be sitting on the ice.

Has any one fished the north lake?

I want to take my 4 year old daughter out fishing and I dont care if we catch anything big. I just want her to catch something.

Carl, lots of small ones on the north lake. Go to the end of the parking lot at Ridgewood area. You will see a path partial blocked with wood chips. Go down there and out to just about the middle. 11ft deep and usually alot of small gills. Pike are there too.

Anything in close will be weed filled. Got to get out just past the weeds.
