Or anyone else who knows. Is it legal to shoot a bear that is wearing a radio collar?

I would have to say yes on this one.I do not think that there would be any laws against it.All they put radio collars on them for is to see how many cubs they have in the den.I do not think that they would collar a boar just sows for dening purpose only.I may be wrong but I do not think that I am.

There is no law in Michigan that states you can not shoot a bear wearing a radio collar.

Well I'm glad boehr answered your question.I think the only thing they would want was the collar back and more information on where the bear was harvested.Here in the U.P. there has been a few bear taken with their ears taged.come to find out they where from wis.they had been trouble bears that were live trapped and transported to a different area.
