spot and stalk

Is there any places in Michigan where one would have a reasonable opportunity to harvest a mature bear in this manner. Most places I have been were too thick. Any info would be nice

I don't think there is I may be wrong.There just seems to be to much wooded land in MI.I'm sure you could spot and stalk bear here in Mi.by hunting pipelines and powerlines but I would not recomend it because I myself feel you would be wasteing your time.But I have been wrong before.
