Hey guys, my family is having some issues right now, therefore our Christmas and Christmas Eve plans have been cancelled so I've decided to use those days for ice fishing. I have a friend who lives on the north bay of White Lake in Oakland County so I would like to give that a try. Does anyone have information as to what kind of fish are in there, what to use for bait, any specific depths to fish. I don't want GPS coords, just an idea of what's going on. Thanks.

Hey Mark, See Bill @Mitchell's over on Duck Lake Rd, right at/near the DNR access. Bill has bait and info. If you can get out near the island accross from the access thats were I'd go.
North bay? By the White Lake Inn (Ormond/Jackson)? I've seen some guys already out by the island. Most fishing is over near "The Little Store" on Jackson, bwt Duck Lake Rd and Ormond - Where Jackons turns from dirt to paved. Gills during the day, Specks at night. Gotta get out in toward the middle of that bay in/around 12' or deeper.
Kinda wet and crappie out right now, I'm heading to the WLI for lunch!

Thanks for the info. I will never go into Mitchell's again. Last time I was in there the dog bit me, and they did nothing about it. That's not customer service and I've never liked the people in there anyway. My friend lives on the dirt stretch of Jackson so I'm just going to fish that bay. I'll look for 12FOW and hopefully things will work out.
