I have fished it in the past for Northerns and have done well...it is not bad for gills either! Check out Arbutus also!

I was looking for more of gills and perch then northerns, thanks for the info.
Spider for me has been quite good for me at times, but has been a very early morning/very late afternoon bite.Couldn't even mark a fish on my Vex unless it was about 45 minutes either side of daylight/darkness.Fished near the island in about 26 feet of water.

Well I moved up to T.C. last year and I never really ice fished before so I want to get into it this year. I have heard the lake has nice gills, perch, pike and crappie. There is houses all around it and from what I heard gets good traffic throughout the winter but its so close to my house I will have to try it out. There is a public boat launch you can access it from. I don't know well see, I am out the door to Otsego lake lake now to see how it goes. Will post later

I ice fished it last week 2 times and we caught a pike, a largemouth (both on tip-ups) and we caught a bunch of nice bluegills(8-10"). There's a lot of crappie and when get back from Florida, we'll probably get some of them too. Last year we did great for gills and crappie. There's a public boat launch and also a tiny access point off of Camp Greilick.

I bet the ice is really unsafe right now on Arbutus or Spider. I am not sure on the perch in that lake. I was told that there aren't...or not many in there. It isnt the deepest lake. I am not 100% on this though. All I have caught were blue gills, bass and northerns.
