Yesterday for a couple hours. Poked holes for quite a while looking for some indication of the river chanel. Found about 6 inches of good clear ice. Did get about 5 flags in the 2 hours we were out. Iced 2 pike that were just short and lost 3. Fish seemed active but didnt find the biguns yet. There were some real nice pike taken thus far judging from the pictures at the bait shop. One was a hog over 40 inches. Now thats what I want to hook up with. Well this afternoon I will hit it again and hope to have more time to fish. We had to plow our access road before we could drive to the spot we fish from. We did locate some deep water on our last hole though we didnt have time left to fish it. Guess where our first tip will go today. LOL Good luck to ya out there and be careful.
