Does anyone know the ice conditions up there??? Hoping to do some fishing when at the OUT-LAWS (inlaws) house. They are on the South -West shore near the entrance to the Base. Any info. would be great.....Anybody thats up in the area and wants to join me, PM me and maybe we can do some Fishin.....

I fished there last Sat., 6 -7 inches of ice in west bay.
Fished 3 hours for walleye and never had a bite.
6 years ago it was great walleye fishing, but the D.N.R. quit planting it, So it's lousy fishing like most other walleye lakes that they quit planting.
Perch fishing is good but they run small and they are full of black grubs in the meat.

I used to fish it alot back then, but since, all you ever catch are Dink walleye if anything at all. But, ice fishing has always produced nicer sized Walleye's fishing at night. Thanks for the report, and there's always snowmobiling, if I abide by ALL of my Mother-inlaws rules for her machines.......40 years old and still listening to senile Elders and their rules.......:dizzy:

Buddy of mine live there fished yesterday 2 guy 4 eyes off eagle point. 10 in ice put up their hard shantys. Fishon!:dizzy:

Well there is 7-9 inches of good ice,I have had my coop on the ice for about a week,also driving sleds and quads out there.
The fishing has been the best I have seen in along time.I limited on walleyes twice last week and by no means were they all dinks ! caught 2 23 inchers and a buddy of mine got a 27.5 inch 7.5pds. also some good northerns 2 of them over 28.
So I dont know where you guys are fishing but my brother had 14 flags in 4 hrs last Tues.morning.
