Hello Everyone. I will be stepping into the world of Coyote hunting for the first time on Thursday. Since I know nothing really about hunting them other than what I have read up on the last month or so my first question would be this. I am from the Oakland County area and I am hoping to be able to hunt them around here somewhere. Is there any good Coyote hunting in area's like Bald Mountian or Pontiac Lake or any other areas around here? I will be heading to a friends property starting next week in Alpena but was hoping to get a head start around here first. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Try out by Yates cider mill I know there is some state land out that way. I don't know if you can hunt on it but you can at least get a feel for your calls and what not. I know they have them in Rochester. Another place is the new section in bald mountian, I'm not sure where it is located but its north of Oxford and a bit east, I think its up by Lenord but not sure.

if your near any cattle farms up north, drop by and talk to the farmers about DAYLIGHT hunting for yotes in the spring around calving time. there is also a small area out by 26 mile an omo road that is huntable, i found some old yote tracks there last winter but no luck with the calls,
way down at the bottom of this link is a bunch of mp3 calls,
