With the weeks winding down on deer hunting, take the time to say a little prayer for the one's that haven't got a deer yet. I was lucky enough to get two this year but I know how much it stinks when your freezer goes unfilled, especially when times are tough for you. I'll be praying you guys connect on some high speed beef!;)

On opening morning, I prayed for all of those that were in either their first season or their last season to get their deer and said thanks for all of the success for me in previous seasons. Oops, I guess sometimes you get what you pray for, as I have had some increadibly poor luck seeing a deer while hunting this year, and blew it when I did have the chance.
But it has been a great season with lots of good hunts, and I have no complaints.
So thanks for the prayers and best of luck to all that have gone deerless thus far. 2weeks left!!!!!
I wonder who the Patron Saint of Hunting is? Looks like it may be Hubert of Liege. http://www.catholic-forum.com/saints/sainth07.htm

A friend of mine had a few bucks lined up, should have been easy shots, but missed both. Wasn't til a few days ago he found out his shotgun was shooting about 2 feet above his mark...waste of a season. Better luck next year to him.

That is why it is advisable to check your sights before the season. I have done that myself and it was not a good thing.

I am hoping that I am blessed with the opportunity to fill one of the many tags I still possess.
Thanks to my friends that have given me some venison the past couple of weeks. If anyone has anything left over from 2006 or even 2005 (or older) that is just sitting there taking up space, I will see that it gets consumed. I really hate asking, I usually do well, but I have just not had any luck this season. Two of my daughters don't really care for cow at all, but we all love deer meat. Much gratitude.

Thanks for the prayers. They resulted in bringing me much luck over the past few days, and I managed to fill all three of my private land "doe" tags during the late firearms antlerlesss season. Much gratitude.
