WHEN DOES EVERY ONE START SCOUTING

Just wondering when everyone else starts there scouting for Mr bear.I will be starting soon .

birddog, I don't start until I get a tag, but I am lucky because I hunt on my own land and a neighbors so I see the bears and bear sign often.

Yooper how many baits do you run?

I start with two per tag then start keying on the most active one as season get closer, I don't want to have to guess which blind I should be in when I can hunt.

Yooper thats why I use timers on all my baits, because a week before or even 2 days before its time to hunt the bait you think is the best by sight could be the worst.Its best to keep a log on every bait then hunt it when its time.
