It is always sad to have a loss. It is even sadder when that loss comes some close to the holidays. My wifes aunt is, in the hospital. She has been there for a while now. But now they have put her on morphine drip so she may go peacefully. My wifes aunts family does not have much. Her cousin is scrounging up all the scrap around the house to turn in for money. He can't work because of disabilities. I have a thread in the sound off looking for scrap metal. I wish I had the money to give him to help him out. But right now I just don't have that money. Please keep my wifes family in your thoughts and prayers during this time of need.
Thank you all.

Sid:
Praying for peace, comfort and meeting of material needs. Also, it seems as though the family would probably qualify for some sort of public assistance through the Department of Human Services. There may also be other avenues of aid available.
Just a thought.....

Dave I have never been in a situation where money aid was needed. I hope I never will be as well. I really don't know where they can get aid from.

Try this: on the web, go to www.michigan.gov/dhs. That is the Department of Human Services web page. On that page, you will see some buttons on the left, "Individual & Family Services" and "Assistance Programs". Also, if you scroll down the page on the right you will see a link under "Online Services" for "Michigan Assistance and Referral Service". Following those links should get you to some info about assitance for them. The Department of Human Services is organized on a county by county basis, so you should also be able to get a phone number for the local DHS office, either in the phone book, from the web page, or by calling information.
Also, if either one or both are members of a church or similar organization, there may be help available there. There may be some other ideas I can come up with, if you would like. Shoot me a PM, if I can be of further help.
Still praying,
Dave
