Whats the best gun/load combination for hunting bear in Michigan?

I would have to say the most common is the 30-06 with a 180 grain bullet. I myself use the 300 win mag with 180 grain core lock.I am sure there will be alot of different ideas on this matter but i would have to say the 30 caliber with 180 grain bullet is probably the best.

My wife and I use a 30-06 with Hornady 150 gr, I thought about switching to a higher grain but this worked very well on three bears so why change.

Yooper thats right if it works don't change it.But I think you would be happy with the 180 grain.
