Do you always use fox urine at a dirt hole set?

No, I would say NEVER ALWAYS use one thing. Maybe 30 percent of my sets get urine.

I found that fox urine is like a curiosity lure to not only fox, but also deer! I will use it primarily at scent post sets. I believe if I use it at baited, lure, dirt hole sets it may confuse the critter with the added urine also. IMO

I do not use very much urine at red fox dirt hole sets, but when I do, I use bobcat urine. There are no bobcats in my trapping territory, and that cat urine really grabs their attention and puts their curiosity into high gear.

At dirt hole sets yes. Everyone has an opinion as to how often, how much, or exactly where urine should be used at a set, but I think you'll find a consensus that it helps put the paw on the pan. IMHO the smell of fox(red) urine serves several purposes at a dirt hole so I use it on every one I make. Good luck.
