So the T/C Encore does it again. Thank goodness for the smokepole season. I've been hunting hard all season and I haven't seen a buck on stand all season until Saturday Morning. I was in my tree and he came in at 10:05 am and gave me a perfect broadside shot at 20 yards but he was looking my way and I gould not get a shot. He then saw my decoy and was very interested in it. However, he turned strainght away from me and then started to turn and make a circle. I had no shot but then about 70 yards away I stopped him once and he stopped behind some trees....NO shot.. The next spot had a small opening and I aimed and stopped him and pulled the trigger. At first I didn't think I had gotten him so I stayed on stand for about 40-45 minutes. I finally got down and went where I thought I had shot him. I was looking all around but couldn't find anything so then I just started to follow his trail and the next step found blood. It was easy tracking after that. I really wasn't quite sure he was a buck until I got up to him....I guess I was just concentrating on the shot so much I didn't really focus on the antlers. To my pleasant surprise it was a decent 6 point buck. I'm really proud of this one because it has been a hard year of hunting with alot of things just not going my way. However, the muzzleloader did not let me down. To all you guys out there I would definitely recommend the Barnes Expanders MZ Spitfires in 245 grain bullets with 2 Pyro Pellets with the T/C Encore 50 cal. It does the job and does it well. Great blood trail with through and through penetration. I don't think I'm going to change now after that performance. Well I"m going to try to get up some pics for you guys. Good to Everybody else out there.

Hey thanks everybody for the congrats!! Especially to ishot3bucks for getting my pic up for some reason I could not get it to upload for me. I'll hopefully get some more up later and show the impact shot too. I was tempted to take the Video cam out that day but I left it at home unfortunetly. He isn't a huge buck but I'm proud of him anyway. It has been a touch year like I said before and I'm glad this one finally came in. I wish everbody out there the best of luck and and hope everybody stays SAFE!! Because last year I fell out of the stand 20 feet and almost lost the ability to hunt ever again. So make sure to wear the safety harnesses even if it is annoying. Good luck and have a great holiday.

I'll admit I'm a little nuts and crazy and still catch myself hunting that way. However I did get to thinking and wore mine up in my climber this afternoon. I should wear it everytime and I'll KEEP WEARING IT!! Glad you were ok.

invest in a hunter safety system vest, its comfortable and it will just become habit like your seat belt of your vehicle.
