I was one of the lucky few that was drawn for the hoffmaster hunt, I saw a lot of deer had one shot but ended in a clean miss. At about 7am I had a nice six pointer bound up the ridge I was sitting on and stop about 10 yards from me offering a nice broadside shot, unfortunately this is a doe only hunt. Then about 1/2hr later I watched a 4point getting chased by a MONSTER 10 point that was definetly cool to see being that that 10point was the biggest buck I have ever seen while hunting. Acouple hours later I decided to switch ridges while making the trek over to the afternoon ridge I came across 5 does, 2 very nice does and three smaller ones. I had a 150yard shot at one of the smaller does and missed.
In talking to the DNR officers I found that the 7 1/2 year old doe I harvested from the park in 2005 is still the oldest and biggest doe to be taken out of the park.
