Good hunt today!!!

Hunted a buddie's land in Perry tonight and had a blast...Got to the stand around 3 pm and saw deer right away.About 3:30 I see some movement about 100 yards away and can see that it's deer...What I could'nt see until I scoped them was that it was a nice 8-10 point:yikes:..I would guess maybe 110-120..He was chaseing some doe's and just would'nt come in.I tried to grunt him in but it was to far I guess for him to hear or he really just did'nt care :evil:...They were running back and fourth for about 30 minutes but just would'nt come out...So about 5pm I had a nice doe come out and all I could think was the big boy was behind her...Well no such luck...I waited about 10 minutes and decieded to take her...She ran about 50 yards and piled up...I'm thinking tomorrow night I will be a bit closer to where mr.big was...Weather permitting...

Sounds like a great hunt, Jacob. Congrats on the doe and I hope you score on the buck tonight. I'm heading out for some bowhunting in just a few minutes. Looks like a great morning: not too cold, only a slight breeze and crusty snow so I'll be able to hear 'em comin'! Good luck to everyone heading out w/ML or bow.

Congrats on the doe. Haven't been seeing much at all for me this past week. Kind of surprised thought maybe the cold weather would get them moving for us. Heading out with my son here in a few minutes. Hoping the approaching nasty weather will get them moving this morning.
