Hey guys...when you have a black graphite blank with a pink or green or whatever sensitive tip...is that part of the graphite blank, or is that added during the construction of the rod?

If so, where can they be purchased? I've got a couple rods that someone threw in the garbage because the tip was broken. Hate to throw out an otherwise good rod.

If it was me I would likely go get a a replacement tip top from somewhere you can usually find them in packs of three at big box stores. First replace the tip unless the rod is broken right at the first guide.
Then secondly take a spring bobber and either use shrink wrap or some thread (I prefer thread) and wrap it to the end of the rod with a touch of epoxy and you have a new rod.
You do need a tip at the end of the rod for it to perform properly.
