Salmon Slammers tips ups who has em

Does anyone use a slammer? How do you like it and did you make it or buy it?


I would love to find plans for one so i can build one and use it for slamon and trout

I bought mine from hesperia sport shop
they had ones set up and just the hardware --about 1/2 the cost. I have not had time to put it together yet. They use them on pentwater lake quite a bit.

I like mine, but I made them. I have made around a dozen or so, given a few a way, and messed around with trying new things. I really only have maybe 6 that I use often.

I have a couple homemade ones. They aren't as pretty as the store bought ones, but they work great. I use 209 shotgun primers on mine, so when I have a release...I can hear the bang from inside my shanty.

Do you two happen to have any pics and maybe some type of plans for them.
Lol i dont even know where to start with the questions:confused:. I never really looked at em close so if you can get some pics that would be great.

Article in this months Wood-n-Waters on the slammer. You might be able to eyeball the picture. Made in Fernadale I believe.

Saw a guy use one on st.clair, pulled that damn perch right out of
the hole and landed on the ice,laughed my ***** off ,it was a little
6 inch perch.
