Wow, when it rains it pours, but could you all please pray for my father in law, he hasn't been doing well and my wife just called and they had to admit him to the hospital today. Last time I spoke to him it was like he lost his will to live, I sure hope he pulls though and relizes how much this family needs him. Some of you know of everything myself and my family have gone through here lately so if you could just keep them all in your prayers.
Thanks,

Jorden

Prayers sent. As an additional note, I'm reminded all day of the movie I again watch last night were the statement repeated again, and again was "Nothing is impossible with God!" You may not be Facing your Giants, but in time when love, help, and support is needed it's comforting to know as well there is no boundries with God.

I guess they had to admit him because his potassuim(sp) was so low that he would have been dead in an hour. He was in the hospital about a month ago and they pumped him so full of fluids that he retained so much water that fluid was litterally seeping out of his skin. Well his Dr. gave him a double dose of his water pills to reduce the swelling. My FIL lost 55 lbs. in 2 days because of it. He lost all that weight in mostly water so you can imagine how dehydrated he was...in fact he was too the point of dyleriuim(sp), he is still out of it, you cant understand much of what he is saying. We are not sure if he's gonna pull through or not. Thank you all for your prayers though, he is a man of faith and i'm sure he appreciates them too. I have to tell you all though, I think I may be loosing my faith. I hope that it can be restored soon.
Thanks again,

Jorden

Jorden:
I feel for you, when you say that you are losing your faith. I don't know the details, but it sounds like you have been taking a spiritual beating and one of the things that tears anyone's heart is to see a loved one go through stuff like your FIL is. I am sure that many on this board will continue to keep all of you in prayer. I'd like to suggest a possibility that might help restore your faith. Please feel free to disregard, if it does not seem helpful........ Have you told God directly that you are ticked about how He is handling this, that you don't understand it and that you, your family AND your FIL could REALLY use some relief? I think it is sometimes the case that anger towards God can seem like a loss of faith. When Job did this, he ended up seeing God in a new way and his faith was in fact restored. Telling God when I was angry helped me more than a couple of times in my life as well.
I know you weren't asking for advice and that perhaps you have already done this, so again feel free to disregard, if not helpful. Regardless, I will keep praying for the best for you, your family and your FIL.
Respectfully,
DaveW

LORD be with Jorden's father and family in his time of sickness. May he be stabilized soon and may his doctors come up with a plan for his full recovery.

My father in law called me from the hospital tonight. He's doing better, he's back to his normal self, but his potasuim(sp) levels are still low so he has to stay at least one more night. Thanks for all of your prayers!
