Gonna buy a electric knife, but in the meantime will give pro bait in Port Huron a call to see if he sharpens knives. Does anyone have any idea where in the Port Huron or there-abouts they might sharpen them? Let them go way past the point of bringing the edge back myself. Thanks in advance.

Buy a Lansky sharpener. Get the one with the dimond hones. you will get a good sharp edge quickly and easly. Its a bit of an investment but it will pay for itself in no time.

At one time I could only put a good edge on one side of a knife. After buying a lansky, everyone I know asks me to sharpen their knives. I'm on my second one now.

Thanks Pitbull and Uncle Al for the info. Do you by any chance have any idea what is "pricey", and who might sell the sharperner? Gave MAJOR hint to wife.

Another very good option is to buy a Chef's Choice electric sharpener. It will bring back the most neglected of knives. It sharpens them to almost a factory edge and does it quickly. I have completely gotten away from the manual stones, rods etc.. They cost about $80. Linens & More, Bed Bath and Beyond, JC Penny all have 'em. An excellent purchase.

I have the 3 stage sharpener. It takes about 10 minutes to sharpen all the knives in the kitchen and does a great job on my filet knives. Beats the hell out of any manual sharpener I've ever owned.

Franks has it all. Click on hunting on the side bar, then look for sharpeners. Lansky has about 5 from $70 to 25 I have the $25 one and it does everything I need , and it doesn't take long. Hope this helps

Took a look at the Chef Choice sharperners at Gander today. $100.00 for the electric. Little high for me but not out of the picture. Not quite desperate yet, knives I have are sorta ok. Don't have any fish to clean anyway but hope to change that real soon. Thanks for the comeback. And Uncle Al, gonna go to Franks site as soon as I'm done here. Thanks.
