Does anyone here on the site have one of the old school ice sleds? I have seen them on the ice and in old magazines, but have never been able to put my hands on one. I am interested in building one or two of these sleds to use on those days where I don't feel like dragging my whole arsenal out on the ice with me.
The ones that I have seen that look the best to me seem to have storage all over, along with a nifty little seat. If anyone does have one I would really appreciate the opportunity to just see it and possibly take some measurements. I have a good friend of mine that is a CAD whiz and he has a version of Catia on his home computer that he would be willing to make a very nice detailed drawing also.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks
Jim

I have one in the garage but have no digital camera to send pics. I will be at the LSC walleye assoc meeting on Dec. 19th and I can bring it along with me. Al

This is what I use, it's long enough to hold 36"rods, and tall and wide enough for a 5 gallon pail on each end, with a seat in the middle.

What's with all the Al's? JK
I have built a sled like the one Uncle Al has there. Built it like 5 years ago jsut using scrap wood from my garage, it works pretty good on those windy days where you really need the wind break.
I'm looking for something more along the lines of what Jpollman built, but a little different. I really wish I had some type of pic to show exactly what I am looking for.
Al D. is your sled the same as Uncle Al or is it more like the other style?
Thanks for all your responses guys.

This box is only about 12-15 inches long, there's a place to put a lantern, and another place for your gear and fish when you catch some.and a seat
