So...went to see the ne toys at Kenny's on Sat.
Boys lemme tell ya....
The Bowtech's are nice
The Mathews are smooth
The Hoyt's are steady
But that Firecat and MOAB are HAWT!!
Just a touch of a jump on the Firecat but I was shooting it bare naked too. I shot the MOAB (which is the same as the Cat with a single cam) with a simple stanilizer on it and thought there's no way these could be the same bow...
I added the stab (4" Hoyt stab) to the Cat and couldn't believe it.
Scary quiet, super fast, GREAT grip, held like a rock and the draw cycle was MUCH nicer than anything I anticipated with the speeds it touts.
It does load up quick but seems to steadily get easier until it drops gently into the valley. Rock hard back wall the way only a drawstop can provide, generous valley (unheard of in a "speed Bow) and all around a joy to shoot.
I must admit...when I get mine I'll be hammering the plastic cat decal outta the riser on day one though.
And now for the fun stuff....
I was playing around with the leghold traps Kenny has there while we're discussing the new "Kevlar Arrows" from CX...we got the idea to shoot an arrow into the trap to ....umm....test the durability of some old Aluminum arrows:p
Or maybe it was snowy and we were bored.....
But anyway...ya'll shouldn't try this at home. It's WAY to fun watching the trap snap crackle the shaft upon impact:lol: I took pics on my phone but I don't know how to get the dang things offa there:confused:
Good time was had for sure and you fence sitters and guys with cool Girls need to send em in to KD for a little Christmas action.
The MOAB and Firecat even make Santa drool;)
