Another year where its below freezing for weeks at the end of November and as soon as December 1st hits its 45 degrees with miny monsoon wind gusts and rain. Also, another year where the lions start off like an actual professional football team and turn into the laughing stock of the league by week 13. Two reasons why next year, I'm moving to Green Bay.
Ps. I'll still be a Lions fan but at least I'll have a longer Ice Fishing Season

It's only December 3rd. We'll get there...

(referring to the ice of course, no hope for the Lions).

If I moved to Green Bay favre would instantly retire there would be an unusually warm winter.

Probably better luck moving to Minnesota, excellent early ice and Adrian Peterson's just getting started...

At least if the Lions are gunna lose the game, it lets me get on the ice sooner
to fish. For the last 3 years i've been in a fantasy football league so now
i have to watch all the games i have players in. It cuts into
my fishing time.

Some sundays when a bunch of buddies are heading out, i say to hell with football for a day. I can check my stats on the computer after i get
back from a day on the ice.

I definitely have to go with the Lions on this one...

I just realized I forgot to answer the primary question of this thread.

Definitely the Lions...

Lions hands down.

Did anyone else see the commercial this past weekend for a promotion they're doing with Barry Sanders. They show a program with Barry on the cover and a big 2053 across the top. I guess they're celebrating Barry's 2053 yard season. But at first, I thought it was the estimated target date as to when the Lions rebuilding will be complete and they'll finally actually make the playoffs. :D:lol:

I'd love to see the lions play the dolphins this year. I like to see them pick up a win. To answer the question, the lions are worse than the ice fishing. In fact, the lions are worse than the ice fishing in Miami.

I just don't know what it will take to turn the lions around. They just don't improve or seem motivated. We've even threatened some of them with contract extentions, and still they can't have a good season.

The Lions will have a winning season after the Fords sell the franchise and they move to another city...or after the Fords figure out that they can build mediocre vehicles and not a winning NFL franchise and turn it over to compentent management.

Fantasy football gave Lions fans a reason to turn the t.v.
back on sunday afternoons. Its nice to have a backup team to
root for.

Personally I think just setting up my shantie and sharpening my auger blades is more enjoyable than being a lions fan. I am a little bitter about that rain on saturday, but I know the ice is just around the corner. Plus my fantasy football playoffs start this week so I'll at least have something to do before I get some fishable ice that I don't have to drive 4 hours for.
