I have never hunted coyote's. Will a 22 LR at under 50 yards kill a coyote? I have a small piece of property that has a pair of coyotes on it and I want to remove them. I don't want to use a shotgun as I don't want to much damage to the pelt. I'm guessing my shot will be in the 30-50 yard range, will the 22 work? or should I go with a shot gun, if using the shot gun what size shot should I use? Thanks for the help.
