is just too much to ask for, at least in SW MI. Our average temps just do not support this.:mad: After going back through the weather records for Muskegon, even in the cold winters of the 50's, 60's and 70's. December isn't cold enough, true, we have had some cold spells where we had some ice, but it usually just went away and we had to wait for weeks to get fishable ice again. Bummer, eh.

i never suspected it to happen either, January is the time for sure.

before i retired i lived downstate and always ice fished while off for the xmas holidays..60's-70's-80's
i lived in Clio
we got 3-5 inches here in lewiston right now but this 8 inches of snow we got last night is sure to put water on it just like last year:mad:
