Is my electronic caller a waste of time for yotes in saginaw county?

I have a electronic caller and there are a few good tracks but its a hassle to haul around. I can call better with a mouth call but. I was wondering if the sound really carries as far as an elect. THanks Jeff

They can hear better than most people think. Even with a mouth call, it's easy to get too loud, too fast. Way to many think one needs to let 'er rip right off the bat. Personally think it's better to stay fairly soft and quietly move a bit then to try and call them from the far side of the county. About the only thing I'll rip is a howler, generally the night before, just to see if anyones home and active. Others will have a different local approach, just know what works best in my area. If what you're trying isn't working, try something different is our basic approach.
