Well ? The last day of duck season could be very interesting. I would think the boys on the big water are going to be grounded. But ? It all depends on the wind direction and intensity. Be careful out there boys and girls, let common sense rule.

WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM SATURDAY EVENING THROUGH
SUNDAY MORNING...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN DETROIT/PONTIAC HAS ISSUED A
WINTER STORM WATCH...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM SATURDAY EVENING
THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING.

SNOW IS EXPECTED TO ARRIVE BY SATURDAY EVENING...POSSIBLY HEAVY AT
TIMES...BEFORE CHANGING TO SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN LATE SATURDAY
NIGHT. SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 4 TO 8 INCHES ARE POSSIBLE BEFORE THE
CHANGEOVER OCCURS. FREEZING RAIN IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE SUNDAY
MORNING BEFORE SURFACE TEMPERATURES WARM ENOUGH TO SUPPORT RAIN.
ICE ACCUMULATIONS UP TO AROUND A QUARTER OF AN INCH ARE POSSIBLE.
STAYED TUNED TO LATER FORECASTS FOR MORE DETAILED SNOW AND ICE
AMOUNTS AS THE TRANSITION TIME OF THE PRECIPITATION BECOMES
CLEARER.

A WINTER STORM WATCH MEANS THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR SIGNIFICANT
SNOW...SLEET...OR ICE ACCUMULATIONS THAT MAY IMPACT TRAVEL.
CONTINUE TO MONITOR THE LATEST FORECASTS.

According to what some of these guys post on here....they'll be giddy as little school-girls laying on their backs in 6-8'ers...

:yikes:

SE with 1-3' waves for Sunday. Not too worried. Funny though the other wave forecast I looked at is 4-7' waves!

The question with me is more if we layout hunt or hunt out of the boat blind. If there is not too much ice to break, I think the weather for Sat. is ideal for the layout. Enough ice and we'll just hunt the boat blind since if you have to break 2 miles of ice to get to open water, they are pretty much stupid when they are flying the edge of the ice that far out.

Well water levels at the Lake Erie/Detroit River mouth are down at least 2 if not 3 foot right now. What ever shallow bays are not already mud are ice.

Good luck to those hunting the last couple days of season.

My last hunt of the season was on wednesday.....
