I need some gift ideas for my dad. He is a deer hunter and I hunt waterfowl so its out of my arena. He says he has everything he needs but there has to be something? Around +/- $150. If you guys could just list some things it would be appreciated. He wanted a sillohute(sp) deer decoy? What brand and where can I get it. But I would like some other ideas too, I just don't want to resort to a gift certificate. Thanks for all the help!
Oh, he mostly bow hunts, or likes it better anyway.

Targets can double as decoys and Rhinehart makes some really nice ones. http://www.rinehart3d.com/products/#c1

What about a gps does he have one of them. Or what about a range finder, or a good set of bino's. A new back pack filled with survival stuff like a first aid kit, camel back, some rope, duct tape, some of those hunter energy bars, things like that. I know it seems kinda meaningless. But hey I love my camelbak back pack I have I wish it was bigger. So I think this after the hunting season sales I will look for one.
By the way my mom got me something like this a couple years ago when she did not know what to get me. But tucked away in the back pack was a garmin gps.

I purchased collectors edition Buck Knives for each of my kids the Christmas before each of their first years hunting. I wanted one for myself, but never went out and dropped the bucks. I know i would be very happy with one of these. Here is a pick of the one I purchased for my daughter that has a laser cut deer and a natural Stag (antler) handle.

Excellent idea. My sister inlaw did that exact thing for me one year. It was a fieldline MO pack with a hydro-bladder and it was filled with everything from Hot-Hands to a drag rope. I then looked at my girlfriend and smiled...yeah, she got a little pissed..

Get him a ladder stand.
I don't think there is a hunter out there that would not love to get a ladder stand as a gift....things like that are just nice money savers.
It depends if he has 5 ladders already....but if he doesnt....thats the way to go.
Can find them for under $100.
easy setup, can put it up, and leave it for the season
makes for an easy climb (if he's an older gentlemen)
nice for those lazy dayz when you don't feel like taking your climber with you. Just take your bow or gun and head out.
Nice thing is that they are hard to spot...good if you hunt state land...also you can lay it on the ground and nobody will know where it is.
unless he has more stands, climbers, or blinds than he can deal with...a nice ladderstand is always good to have in your arsenal.
