Soo its that time of year again...I belive i found that perfict spot to get on that hard water tommrow!!;).....if all goes well i plan cuting out of school a little early and hit the ice....But dont worry the spot i found has about an inch of ice right now and will pry get another inch tonight....its not to deep about 3ft and sheltered from the wind....ill let everyone know how i did before i take off for chaigo at 3:00pm......Its time to scrach that itch!!!!!!;):yikes::lol:

im with mr.bluegill, 1 inch of ice, 3 ft of water ill take my chances with that esp to get rid of that first ice itch.

Good luck MrB. hope you catch something... if not i agree with the rest of the riff raff dont fall in... if you do wear some waders in 3ft! that way at least you stay dry... too much deeper and i dont think i would be wearing waders incase they got water in them... then you would be swimmin with the :fish:
wont be long and ill be hitting up some smaller ponds

Bring lifejacket, rope (tied off to a tree) and ice picks:yikes: Just in case.
Good luck and hope u stay high and dry. Catch some fish:fish: but be safe first. I myself been eye ballin my canel, but I think its still going to be a while for me!

aww you guys are some worry warts 3 ft of water aint much, i fell into 4 ft and had to walk 3/4 of a mile to get to my house to get out of my wet snowpants and i was fine. 3 ft of water has to be less than 50 yds from shore, you'll be fine, if i had close ice i would be out there too.

Depends what the bottom is like. Could be 3' of water and 2' of muck.

Just got in from tryin them spots....i was soo close to fishn...just need about another 1/4in and i could of pulled it off...i gusse its better to be safe then sorry when your fishin alone on a lake in the middle of no where....ill be fishin sunday night when i get back for sure!!!;)

well mr b. i went fishing and i did pretty good but you knew that cause you were with me so im thinking about hittin fish lake or some other lake if it is frozen over

Do you think it is safe? Aren't there a few streams that run into that lake?
