Looking for recommendations of a few websites that are the best for trapping supplies as well as intructions. As well if there is one book or two that is considered the Trappers bible. I want to get into beaver trapping. I have been reading what I can find online.

I tried to do my own homework before posting so any help is appreciated. I have googled beaver, trapping, beaver trapping, , etc. etc. with not too much luck and have been in Sportsmens Wharehouse, Cabelas, and Bass Pro.

Thanks

All your supplies can be obtained through F and T at http://www.fntpost.com

and Your on the best site for information, the guys on here can answer any question you have. I don't know where you live but if you ask there are always people willing to show you the ropes.

As for books I bought Stanley Hawbakers book I think its called North American Fur Bearers. Also you might want to subscribe to or buy Fur, Fish, and Game, they have good articles, also If you join the Michigan Trappers Association you can get a subscription to Trapper and Predator Caller magazine, or you can also just subscribe to it,

Any book by Charles Dobbins would be a good place to start.

I second Dobbins also, his books are a great read. I have On the line, and beaver and otter talk, they are great books

As a rookie myself, I found that tagging along with a "veteran" trapper is worth all the boks you can buy. I read and read, but actually going along and having someone show me what to look for and how to set stuff was the real bonus.
