to go spend countless hours on dinks!!!!!! lol, hopefully this year will be a nice change from the past 3 or 4 years. seems the fish (all over) were hot one day and off the next. Not to mention tossing through 80 4"ers to get the 3 good enough to make a sandwich.

anyone have a poll of first ice yet? I'm going to say Jan. 8 in s.e. It'll get warmer again.

i don't know that it will warm up again, check out the accucast or whatever it is. i'm thinking not this weekend but next se MIGHT have enough to get on some smaller lakes away from the inlets, or the channels.

I honestly have a gut feeling that we're going to have a normal winter this year. I think we'll be on the little lakes (With caution where you go.) before Christmas. I'm still geeked about deer season, but I'm planning on actually buying a big shanty this year. It's amazing how much funner it is when your not freezing:lol:. I'm excited myself. I can't wait to chase some, gills, eyes, crappies, and perch.:corkysm55:D

Way it looks probaly a week and half cuts around fairhaven raft area and some smaller inland lakes 2 weeks on the pond if the weather stays cold as forecasted.

As for spending countless hours on dinks I know what you meen there lawnguy.2 outa 8 times dinks or skunked.$ money spent on gas to make the drive I could have bought alot of nice size eating perch from the fish store:lol:
High fuel cost is going to make it difficult again this winter for me to go down and chase dinks all over the lake:help:I do hope the fish are bigger this winter.

I went to Gander Mountain today to see if they finally got there ice fishing stuff out yet. I walked in and almost started to cry i was so happy. I cant wait for the ice!!!!:woohoo1::woohoo1::woohoo1:
